Let’s chat about vitamins. As we get older, almost all of us start supplementing for the nutrients we know we need. Do you know exactly what your body needs? If you haven’t done a full panel of bloodwork, how do you know what vitamins to take? I am not sure and you really should have an understanding of the nutrients you have vs what you actually need before you start popping vitamins. ALSO, did you know there IS a difference between the vitamins you get from say CVS or Walgreens and the vitamins Dr. 's can get for us. Sometimes, most of the time, the vitamins in the store are ... .well, they are crap. There are differences in regulation and quality control. Not all vitamins go through the same testing and approval process. Most do not have third party certifications and most are ineffective. However, receiving a supplement from say, Dr. Hopkins after reviewing your blood work, rest assured you are getting exactly what you need from a source that has been thoroughly tested and is third-party approved. If we are spending money on all these added nutrients, we had better be purchasing effective and safe products.
